Born and raised in Southern California, David began his career as a in active sportswear after graduating from the USC school of business and administration. During his career in the contemporary sportswear market in Hollywood California many of his clients were asking for quality denim jeans, out of this David Kahn Jeanswear was born. Why premium Italian and Japanese denim?
Because of the ability to create artistic washes, they use looms that are doing intricate weaves to get different hues throughout the denim, this is where the fashion in denim is coming from. Italian and Japanese denim is higher quality cotton so it is softer, more durable, and more comfortable and the premium jean fits and feels better.
New washes like sitges are over dyed or dyed back on top of the original color, that is how you get the dark indigo color. This is a fabulous new color jean the dark indigo color is unique and has a figure flattering quality to it.
Italian denim is new on the premium denim scene and the Italians are getting very creative, they have brought in whole new weaves that have slightly different elements that make them unique. The Italians are stepping it up with the tonal qualities of premium denim.
Artistry is going into denim washes and the denim/fashion connoisseur gets it, they see the differences and they want it!
